Aston Villa Vs Manchester United
A week I'd rather forget!  Our injuries add insult to the poor results of late,  I just cannot belive how bad some of our results have been.
Getting knocked out of the Champions league is a shock to the system, let me tell you!  We now have out captain injured and not expected to return
this season!

Well at least we are back to winning today,  not a bad result at all although I was a bit worried at times by our defending, we allow teams to cross the ball so easily.  I really hope we can tighten things up and stop giving teams a chance to score so often.

No more injuries were added today and Danny Wellbeck looks to in good form, I think his partnership with Wayne Rooney will be vital until; Chicharito recovers from his ankle ligament injury.

Phil Jones partnered Carrick well today but I did expect them to be a little bit tighter defensively than they were.  Nani is in top form and was our best player for the second game running I feel.

Rio Ferdinand and Johnny Evans will be our first choice defense now than Vidic is injured.  His torn knee ligament will see him on the injury list for the rest of the season, I am gutted as I am sure he will be.

Away trip to Aston Villa - Videos #mufc

This weekend I travelled down the M6 to Birmingham where United played Aston Villa,  it was a great day out and although Chicharito got injured and will be out for a month.  I can't belive how many players have been injured already this season.

We made it down to the ground about a couple of hours before kickoff so we had time for a few pints in one of the pubs near the ground.  I'm not sure what it was called but it was only a 5 minute walk from Villa Park.  After that we made our way to the ground about 20 minutes before kickoff.  The atmosphere was great and the United fans seemed well up for it, I can't remember any of the game really and someone had to tell me who scored as I was a bit blurry-eyed from the shandys.  I sang my heart out anyway and am looking forward to travelling down to QPR on the 17th of December.

Rio Ferdinand's USA Tour 2011 Diary #mufc

Here is some pre-season behind the scenes footage of Manchester United players.

The pre-season tour was a resounding success.  Almost everyone in the squad is playing well and United beat all-comers, including an MLS all stars team featuring David Beckham and Thierry Henry. The reds also defeated Barcelona 2-1 in a game of very high quality. The Barca team featured Iniesta, Pedro, Villa and Busquets as well as new sensation Thiago Alcantara.
