So hopefully by the end of the season I'll be able to look back to this post with some mirth, because I don't actually think Citeh are 'all that'. Against United in the historic win for the berties, I think the reds were under par. We missed Vidic and Rio early this season and have also played most of our toughest games already. The loss to City may be vital come May, I admit. However I think we have a good chance to pressurise them over the holiday period. If we can get within a couple of points or better then I think we shall really see what city are all about.
All this with the United side ravaged by injuries and probably weaker in attack and midfield than we have been over the last 5 years:- we have lost Tevez, Ronaldo, Scholes, 3 of the worlds top players and replaced them with less acclaimed players. Sir Alex is rebuilding again and I see this as a transitional period, I just hope we can stop City from pinching our targets. (David Silva and Samir Nasri.) That however is going to be very difficult as greed knows no bounds. However I take some solace from the fact that Chelski for all their millions spent haven't been able to push United aside.
